Deceased factory worker's family wins mesothelioma lawsuit

It has been reported that the family of a deceased steel factory worker has won $700,000 from a mesothelioma lawsuit. The worker was exposed to asbestos in the 1950s while working as a mechanic's assistant. As the mechanic's assistant, he worked with gaskets and the jury determined that work with the gaskets was a major factor in the development of mesothelioma cancer. The worker died in less than a year of his mesothelioma cancer diagnosis.
